Description

A creamy, tangy cheese ball with cranberries and pecans, perfect for any holiday gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For rolling:

  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, blend until smooth and creamy. You want the texture to be completely blended together for a seamless consistency.

Step 2: Add the Flavorings

Next, add the chopped cranberries, finely chopped green onions, honey, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated. At this stage, you can taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking, adding more salt, pepper, or honey as needed.

Step 3: Shape the Cheese Ball

Once all ingredients are thoroughly mixed, take the mixture and use your hands to form it into a ball. You may need to wet your hands slightly to avoid sticking. Carefully place the formed cheese ball on a piece of wax paper or plastic wrap.

Step 4: Roll in Nuts and Cranberries

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining chopped pecans and dried cranberries. Gently roll the cheese ball in the nut and cranberry mixture, making sure it is evenly coated on all sides. Press gently to make sure everything sticks well.

Step 5: Refrigerate

Place the cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together and the cheese ball to firm up.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

After chilling, remove the cheese ball from the fridge and place it on a serving platter. Pair it with your favorite crackers, fresh veggies, or even sliced bread. This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball will be a hit at your next gathering!
